Cookeville Tennessee Tornado

A large tornado has torn through Middle Tennessee effecting several counties including Wilson, Davidson, Putnam and other surrounding areas. The storm happened in the very early morning hours (2:00AM) of March 3, 2020. The storm initially formed in West Tennessee and grew with speed as it crossed the state of Tennessee.
The hardest hit is Putnam County with 20+ deaths and 70+ people missing. The small town of Baxter, Tennessee and neighboring Double Springs community and Cookeville, Tennessee suffered much damage. Both homes and businesses are demolished in some cases.
Putnam County is located about an hour east of Nashville, Tennessee.
Several search and rescue crews are on the ground in Cookeville, Tennessee and surrounding area searching for those missing. Thousands of volunteers have shown their support and tens of thousands items have been donated.
